2020 ADI Student Servant Leadership Awards

Dr. Inga Ishu
While at A.T. Still University-Arizona School of Dentistry, Dr. Inga Ishu exemplified a commitment to leadership, service, and academic excellence. She served as a servant leader and student ambassador, representing her peers and fostering a sense of community within the dental school. As a teaching assistant, she mentored fellow students and contributed to the institution's educational mission. In addition to her campus involvement, Inga demonstrated her dedication to the profession by serving on the boards of prominent organizations, such as the American Dental Education Association and the American Association for Women Dentists. Through these roles, she advocated for student interests and promoted diversity and inclusion in dentistry.
Dr. Ishu was also an active member of the ASDO’s Ortho Specialty Club, where she furthered her interest in orthodontics by participating in club events, attending specialized lectures, and engaging in hands-on workshops. Her passion for orthodontics was evident through her commitment to learning about the specialty and networking with professionals in the field.
After graduation, Dr. Inga Ishu will complete a General Practice Residency (GPR) to broaden her clinical skills and gain comprehensive experience in patient care. Building on this foundation, she plans to apply for an Orthodontic residency, aspiring to contribute to the field as a specialist.
