Bernard Silverstein has been a passionate advocate for community service and global health. He has held leadership roles in several student organizations, including the Hispanic Student Dental Association, the Global Health Student Association, and the Pride Clinic, among others. One remarkable achievement was leading the revitalization of the student-led Vidas de Esperanza Clinic in Siler City, which reopened in Fall 2024 after a two-year hiatus. His continued desire to serve the local Hispanic community, where his leadership and dedication were recognized nationally in 2024 as the Colgate Dental Student Scholarship recipient by the Hispanic Dental Association Foundation. After graduation, Dr. Bernard Silverstein will begin a six-year, MD-integrated Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania Dental School- Penn Dental Medicine.
