Honor Society for Science & Global Oral Health
The exclusive fellowship of dental practitioners since 1974, ADI has grown to include fellows in over 86 countries, hosting convocations and meetings all over the world. Membership is by invitation only.
ADI provides training and continuing education to the dental community.
ADI has a roster of qualified educators and a peer-reviewed periodical, the Journal of Global Oral Health, showcasing cutting-edge dental research. ADI's Terry Tanaka Award and Student Services Leadership Award recognize outstanding dental students. ADI also co-sponsored the International Health Literacy Association’s Global Health Literacy Summit.
Global Volunteerism
The Academy facilitates opportunities for members seeking to volunteer.
By contributing time and expertise to under-served communities around the world, ADI Fellows provide volunteer critical oral care for individuals to meet the oral health needs of communities globally. Our volunteers find personal and moral satisfaction and develop bonds with their peers in a way that is truly life changing for everyone involved.
Global Collaboration
ADI is a loud and direct voice promoting science and global oral health.
Collaborating with organizations, we impact global oral health significantly. ADI has Special Consultative Status to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, membership in Non-Communicable Disease Alliance, World Federation of Public Health Associations, and involvement in United Kingdom, Italy, G7, and 2021 G20 Summit, to name a few.
