CE Symposium: Service to Others
A Review of Restorative Techniques,
Diagnostic Procedures, and Volunteerism
On September 4th, 2019, the day before the ADA FDI Exhibits open, the USA Section of the ADI will host a full day, multi-speaker CE Symposium. All teaching methods will be lecture-based with audio-visual aids.
Dr Park has decades of experience in the
development and use of CADCAM in his dental Practice. His presentation will increase the
expertise of the clinician.
8:20 a.m. - 10:20 a.m.
Terry Tanaka, DDS “Problem Solving In Dentistry: It’s better to get the credit than the blame.”
Dr Tanaka will present on problem solving
skills in dentistry today. His presentation will Dental myths as they related to complex restorative dentistry. It will be an interactive Presentation with reviews of patients and cases.
10:30 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.
Kamran Awan, BDS, PhD “Oral Cancer, Early Detections Saves Lives”
Dr Awan will present on the importance of early detection of oropharyngeal cancer
allowing participants to improve their oral diagnostic skills in their office or on their
mission trips.
11:15 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Ramon Baez, DDS and Carolina Diaz Guillory, DDS “Application of the World Health Organization Classification of Diseases or Disorders to Dentistry and Relationship of the ADI with the United Nations.”
This will be a review of the
ADI’s role in world health and mission work.
12 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Ron Fritz, DDS “Volunteerism, What’s It All About” / LUNCH
Dr Fritz will review the important role volunteerism plays in our professional lives, and discuss strategies for getting and staying involved. Download PDF

Robert Lustig, MD “Corporate Wealth or Public Health”
Dr Lustig Corporate Wealth or Public Health. Dr Lustig is a physician at UCSF College of Medicine. He is an expert in systemic health and the important role dentistry plays in Helping patients achieve and maintain healthier lifestyles.
